Full of energy
to live

"Eating is Living"

Eight years ago.
Ofunato Onsen was built by a local fisherman who loved his hometown as a part of the recovery effort after the Great East Japan Earthquake.

There's one thing we, who have experienced the earthquake, would like to convey to you.

To eat is to live.
A full stomach of delicious food and a warm bath will rejuvenate both your mind and body.
It will surely bring you the vitality to live tomorrow.

This is the southern part of Iwate Prefecture, a city surrounded by sea and mountains - Ofunato.
Enjoy the blessings of the sea from Sanriku, which have sustained people's stomachs and given them the energy to stand up again.
Please do try it at least once.
